93 for Auckland: 26for New Plymouth
Left Gravesend on 7th March 1856 and had a tedious and tempestuousvoyage of 123 days. She met with severe gales and heavy weather.
At Noon on the day of departure from Start Point, a body was providentiallydiscovered to be floating on the surface of the water which happily provedto be a human being clinging to a portion of a wreck. A boat was loweredand the poor fellow rescued from a watery grave, the sole survivor ofthe crew of a Prussian vessel in collision with an English brig.
The person rescued was one Michael KRALLAT of theAuorkus Month, a native of Memel. The ship’s boat could not be lowered and the crew tookto the rigging.
